The Sedalia City Council held a discussion over the city zoning codes regarding marijuana businesses during a recent meeting.

The council held a public hearing on the issue prior to the meeting. The city updated its zoning codes four years ago for medical marijuana dispensaries. City Administrator Kelvin Shaw said the city would need to do the same for recreational marijuana as well.

The council approved an ordinance for the city of Sedalia to amend the city code regarding the zoning of marijuana businesses.
