A Triplett man has been charged with a felony for aggravated driving while intoxicated in Chariton County.

According to a probable cause statement, on Thursday, February 23, 2023, a Chariton County Sheriff Deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Chariton County for a report of a suspicious person ringing a doorbell.

The deputy approached a vehicle and identified Cole Green seated in the driver’s seat. The deputy observed Green’s eyes to be bloodshot and an odor of an alcohol beverage.

The deputy observed Green sway and fall to the ground on more than one occasion while walking to the patrol car. The deputy checked Green’s drivers license through Chariton County 911 and discovered it had been revoked.

Green was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Sheriff’s Department where a breath test resulted in an alleged concentration of .222.

According to court documents, Green has been charged with a felony for aggravated driving while intoxicated, due to a prior driving while intoxicated charge and a misdemeanor for driving while revoked.

Bond has been set at $10,000 cash only.
