
A Marshall man found guilty of second degree murder and several other felonies in Saline County was sentenced on Monday, March 13, 2023.
Terrelle Palmer was the subject of a manhunt over three years ago. According to court documents, Palmer shot four people at two different residences. One of the victims died and three others suffered injuries on October 2, 2019. The shootings led to a citywide lockdown. Palmer fled the area and was apprehended in Mississippi on October 18, 2019.
On February 2, 2023, Palmer was convicted of second degree murder, two counts of first degree assault, three counts of armed criminal actions, one count of burglary in the first degree, one count of endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Palmer was sentenced to life in prison for the murder conviction, twenty years each for the first degree assaults, twenty years each for the armed criminal action, ten years for burglary, ten years for endangering the welfare of a child and ten years for unlawful possession of a firearm.
