The Marshall City Council discussed granting a natural gas franchise to Empire District doing business as Liberty Utilities during its meeting on Monday, April 17, 2023.

Approval would give Liberty the right to conduct business in the City of Marshall.

City Clerk Julie Lewis read the ordinance to the council.

The council approved granting the request.

In other news from the meeting, the council approved and Emergency Management Agreement with Saline County.
