The Marshall School Board heard the final cost associated with the fire at Marshall High School during its meeting on Monday, April 17, 2023.

The total cost for repairing the damage amounted to $3.07 million, with insurance covering $2.3 million. Assistant Superintendent David Reinke told the board the final insurance payment had recently been made.

In other news from the meeting, the board accepted a bid from Exchange Bank for depository services. The interest rate on the day to day account for the district increased from .56 percent to .90 percent beginning on July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025.
