A Centerview man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Lafayette County on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a motorcycle ridden by 37-year-old Luke Kates left the roadway and Kates was ejected.

Kates was transported to Centerpoint Hospital and pronounced deceased by an emergency room physician.

The accident occurred at 2:45 a.m. on Route M south of I-70 in Lafayette County.
