sfcc-2

The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts program will present the comedy “Not Now, Darling!” at 7:30 p.m. April 27-29 and 2 p.m. April 30 in the Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus. A dinner theatre will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 29. The play was written by Ray Clooney and John Chapman; Tim Wells, SFCC instructor, is the director. This show is recommended for audiences 13 years and older due to adult humor.

The play, which was first performed in England, revolves around mistresses, minks and the New York fur salon of Bodley and Crouch, where Crouch struggles to keep things on an even keel despite Bodley’s philandering. Bodley tries to secure the affections of his latest mistress by selling her husband an expensive mink fur coat for a fraction of its real worth. The husband seizes the bargain coat as the perfect gift for his own mistress and complications multiply with suspicious wives, mistaken identities, scantily clad girls, and a continuous barrage of rapid-fire jokes as the plot intensifies to the final curtain when everything manages to work out as it should.

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at sfcctheatre.evenbrite.com or by calling the Box Office at (660) 530-5814 from 2-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. SFCC students and employees may reserve tickets for performances at no-cost in the Box Office. Dinner theatre tickets for April 29 cost $13 per person. Attendees over 60 years may get a free ticket to the 2 p.m. performance on April 30. Wheelchair seating is available upon request. For special accommodations, email Mahannah at rmahannah@sfccmo.edu.
