The Kansas City Royals rallied for eight runs in the final three frames to beat the Los Angeles Angels 10-9 on Saturday, June 17.

The Royals got a walk-off RBI single from Samad Taylor in his first Major League game, as the Royals snapped a 10-game losing streak.

Mike Mayers allowed six runs on seven hits over five innings of work for the Royals. Griffin Canning pitched a quality start for the Angels, throwing six innings of two-run ball. The Kansas City offense did most of its damage against the Angels bullpen, as the Royals scored eight runs over the final three innings for the comeback win.

Aroldis Chapman picked up the victory after pitching the ninth.

Nick Pratto and Bobby Witt Jr. each had two-hit days, and MJ Melendez hit his sixth home run of the season. Shohei Ohtani blasted his 23 homer of the season.
