Josephine O. “Jo” Clemons, 95, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, June 19, 2023, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Cliff Cato and William W. Harlow officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Southside Assembly of God or Marshall Senior Center and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born May 15, 1928, in Lamine, MO, she was the daughter of the late Henry Mabrey and Eula Mae Ballew Mabrey.  Jo lived in Marshall most of her life where she graduated from high school.  On May 16, 1947, she married Herbert “Waid” Clemons, and they were blessed to celebrate 76 years of marriage.  Jo worked at International Shoe Factory and then in the food service system at Marshall Public Schools for many years.  She attended Southside Assembly of God and loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.

In addition to her husband, Waid; she is survived by four children: Rhonda Land of Slater, Nancy Malan of Marshall, Troy Clemons (Raylene) of Gilliam and Tracy Glidewell of Kansas City; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Thomas Ballew, Gene Ballew and Herman Mabrey; and one sister, Dorothy Nugen.
