The cities of Boonville and Bunceton have canceled fireworks displays due ongoing drought conditions.

The Boonville Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2023 Boonville fireworks at the Cooper County Fairgrounds have been postponed due to the extreme dry conditions being experienced in the county. The display could rescheduled for a later date.

The City of Bunceton has canceled the fireworks display on the 4th of July and has prohibited the use of aerial fireworks in the city. All other scheduled activities will proceed as planned.
