
A Marshall woman has been charged with several drug felonies after being identified by a police officer in Marshall on June 22.
According to a probable cause statement, Devon Rose Black was identified at Walmart and found to have four active warrants. Black, after being arrested requested a backpack be placed in her vehicle by the officer in the parking lot. Upon arrival at the vehicle, the officer noticed a baggie containing a crystal-like substance in plain view. During a search of Black’s backpack, the officer also located another baggie with a crystal-like substance, firearm reported stolen from Columbia, smoking device and brass knuckles along with alleged illegal pills and a baggie of marijuana.
Black has been charged with felonies for delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.
No court date has been set.
