Charles R. “Charlie”  Loggins, 80, of Malta Bend, MO, died Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Apple Ridge Care Center in Waverly, MO.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Malta Bend Cemetery in Malta Bend, MO, with William W. Harlow officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born November 2, 1942, in Marked Tree, AR, he was the son of the late Lawrence Loggins and Ethel Dale Loggins.  Charlie married Marlene G. Hostetter on June 7, 1962 in Waverly, MO who preceded him in death on April 1, 2003.  Charlie worked at the Marshall Habilitation Center and the Department of Corrections in Boonville, MO.  He loved to read, work puzzles and listen to 50’s and 60’s Rock and Country music.  He was a great storyteller, but above all he loved his family and put them first.  His life was a life of service to others.

Survivors include two daughters: Kathy Wise of the home and Tracy Shanahan of Malta Bend, MO; sons-in-law: Steve Perkins of Malta Bend, MO and Ira Wise of Marshall, MO; four grandchildren: Charles Wise (Angel), Mathew Shanahan, Kiri Wise and Bradly Perkins; three great-grandchildren: Chase Wise, Aubrey Wise and Alyviah Wise; one brother Donald Loggins of Marshall, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Charlie was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelly Marie Perkins; one grandson, Bryan Perkins; two sisters; and one brother.
