The Concordia Board of Aldermen discussed water rates during a special meeting on Thursday, July 20.

City Administrator Dale Klussman stated the board selected a rate structure that would place Concordia in the average among area municipalities that have a water treatment facility.

Klussman stated the base rate would increase $6.60 per month to $20.05 and the rates would increase 13.5 percent to 14 percent effective September 1, depending on usage if passed by the board.
