Evergy Missouri West and Evergy Missouri Metro are continuing to move toward implementation of time-of-use electric rates for all of its residential customers during the final quarter of 2023, customers have and will continue to receive educational materials with time-of-use (TOU) rate options from the electric companies.

TOU rates will charge different prices per kilowatt-hour based on energy usage. Higher costs to customers will be in effect during peak hours while lower costs will be incurred during off-peak hours. Customers may benefit from shifting energy usage to off-peak hours.

The Missouri Public Service Commission has developed a document for frequently asked questions for customers. The document can be viewed on the commission website at https://psc.mo.gov/CMSInternetData/ConsumerInformation/PSC%20staff’s%20frequently%20asked%20questions.pdf
