A Warrensburg man has been charged with a felony for stealing after an incident on June 16, 2023.

According to the Warrensburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to a tire center for a reported theft. Officers saw Derrick Roar enter into the store and steal multiple items totaling approximately $1,075.

Roar was identified in photos and surveillance videos. Police were able to confirm the suspect was Roar because of a large tattoo on his left leg.

Court documents say Roar is charged with a felony for stealing $750 or more. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only.

Roar has a counsel status hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 2 at Johnson County Circuit Court.
