
A Boonville man has been arrested and charged with a drug-related felony after a traffic stop on Wednesday, August 2.
According to the Boonville Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on the intersection of Third Street and Center Street in Boonville. One officer made contact with the passenger of the vehicle, Darrin Humphries, and told him to exit the vehicle.
The officer noticed Humphries reach inside his pocket several times and conducted a search on Humphries. The officer found a capped needle and a pack of cigarettes in his pockets.
The officer found more than three grams of methamphetamine inside the pack of cigarettes. The Boonville Police Department says that this amount indicates that this methamphetamine is being distributed to others.
Humphries has prior convictions for drug-related felonies in 1997 and 2004.
Court documents say Humphries is charged with a felony for delivery of a controlled substance. Bond has been set at $20,000 cash or surety.
No court dates have been set at this time.
