Lexington City Administrator Mark O’Dell recently gave an update on progress at the new water treatment plant.

O’Dell stated water was successfully pumped from new wells to the plant on Tuesday, August 8.

O’Dell stated the water clarifier at the treatment plant had not been manufactured to specifications but believes the clarifier will be completed this week.

In other news the Lexington Community Fair is currently in progress. The fair began on Saturday, August 12 and will run through Saturday August, 19. Attractions include a carnival, car show, beer garden with live music as well as a parade on Saturday, August 19.
