A Waverly teenager was killed in a UTV accident on Tuesday, August 15.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when the 13-year-old male traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

The teenager was transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital and later pronounced deceased.

The accident occurred at 7:38 p.m. on Durant Road, west of Salt Fork Road in Lafayette County.
