
A New Franklin man has been charged with a felony after an incident at convenience store on Tuesday, August 22.
According to the Howard County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the store in New Franklin after a reported trespassing incident. The subject identified by surveillance video as Curtis Jones had previously been barred form the store after allegedly stealing.
Deputies later contacted Jones and during a search allegedly located a clear glass pipe that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Jones has been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanors for possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
Bond has been set at $20,000 cash only.
No court dates have been set.
