A Kansas City man has been injured in a one-vehicle accident in Saline County on Thursday, August 24.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a semi driven by 26-year-old Benjamin Byumunga began to travel off the roadway, causing Byumunga to overcorrect, which led his vehicle to overturn. Byumunga’s vehicle came to a rest on its top.

Byumunga was transported to University Hospital by MU Life Flight for treatment of serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 5:20 a.m. on Westbound I-70 at Mile Marker 85 in Saline County.
