Slater School Superintendent Terry Lorenz gave an update on facility improvements during the Slater Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, August 23.

Lorenz stated the light poles for the football field have been put up and the district is waiting for electrical work to be finished. Lorenz also stated the goal posts have been placed.

In other news, Lorenz stated the Slater FFA Chapter has been selected as one of ten chapters in the country with activities in the area of strengthening agriculture and has been named a three star chapter.
