pettis-county-sheriff-arrest

The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office arrested two subjects after serving a search warrant on Tuesday, September 5.

The sheriff’s department, along with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and the Bates County Sheriff’ Office, served the warrant at a Pettis County residence. The warrant is the culmination of over two years of investigation including multiple law enforcement agencies such as Henry County, Sedalia Police Department, Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force targeting an alleged, extraordinarily large, illicit drug distributor.

Upon arrival, 51-year-old Tony Meyer was taken into custody after a brief attempt at flight, and his brother 56-year-old Ricky Meyer was taken into custody without incident. A search of the persons and property revealed just under 2 pounds of methamphetamine, suspected heroin, Oxycodone, two Morphine, 16 Hydrocodone, fentanyl, several firearms, and $10,000.

Initial charges of trafficking, receiving stolen property, and felon in possession of a firearm have been submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor’s Office on Tony Meyer. Charges against Ricky will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office as well for trafficking. The cases will then be submitted to the US Western District Court via the DEA for federal indictment, at which time the state charges will be dropped and defendants transferred to the custody of the US Marshals upon said expected indictment.
