
The Carrollton Town Council approved a resolution to apply for a waste water grant for water system improvements during its meeting on Monday, September 18.
The bidding process for the project has already been completed. The project to replace water mains and valves will encompass a large part of the town. The grant application will be through the Departmnent of Natural Resources.
The council also approved an ordinance to amend building codes in residential zones. The ordinance allows more flexibility to property owners who have outbuildings such as detached garages and workshops. The council also approved an ordinance to allow for units on property to be placed that do not fall under current zoning ordinances, also giving owners more flexibility.
