A Sweet Springs man was moderately injured in a two-vehicle accident in Saline County on Tuesday, August 19.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Neico Silkwood traveled into the path of a tractor trailer driven by a Hughesville man, striking the truck. Silkwood’s vehicle came to rest in the median while the tractor trailer came to rest on the shoulder.

Silkwood was transported by Saline County EMS to Fitzgibbon Hospital Hospital with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 12:05 p.m. on Highway 65 at 122nd Trail in Saline County.
