Jennifer Kay Boyd (nee Hancock), 74, of Chesterfield Missouri, peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, on September 15, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on October 15, 1948 to Oscar Kenneth and Betty Jo Hancock in Aurora, Missouri and graduated from Aurora High School in 1966. She met the love of her life, Don Boyd, that same year and they were married on June 6, 1970. They moved to Slater, Missouri in 1972 and were blessed with 2 daughters, Ashley and Amber. They resided in Slater for 42 years before moving to Chesterfield, Missouri in 2009 to be close to family.

Jennifer was a loving wife, mother, grandma and friend with a generous, caring soul who was always willing to help someone in need. She was an exceptionally talented quilter who made special quilts for each daughter and grandchild, as well as several friends and family, to cherish for years to come. Jennifer was an amazing cook, loved to garden, adored dogs and enjoyed traveling any chance she could. She was happiest when spending time with family and friends and cherished her grandchildren dearly. She made all of those around her feel loved, especially during Christmas, her favorite time of the year.

Jennifer is survived by her beloved husband Don and their two daughters, Ashley (Bryan) West and Amber (Tim) Elli. She was the proud grandma of Alex and Audrey West and Liam, Kora and Greta Elli. Dear Aunt, cousin and friend of many.

She is loved beyond measure and will be missed dearly.

Services: Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Monday, September 25, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery, 332 Old Sulphur Spring Rd., Manchester. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of Ashley’s battle with breast cancer.
