The Marshall Public Schools Board of Education heard presentations about the design and construction schedule of the new Marshall Intermediate School during its meeting on Tuesday, October 10.
The Marshall Intermediate School is a facility the district plans to use for third, fourth, and fifth grade students. The planned location of the building will be across the street from Spainhower Primary School, just directly north of that facility.
Incite Design presented design plans to the board. This presentation included floor plans and 3-D renders of what the facility would look like after construction. The design team says it’s been working on this project since last spring.
A representative from the Nabholz Construction team presented a rough schedule for the project. The design is set to be finalized and complete by December 2023. Nabholz will begin the bid process in January and February 2024. Construction is expected to take about 18 months, so the goal is to have the facility ready for students by August 2025 (construction beginning in March 2024).
The floor plans and renders from Incite Design are not readily available at this time. KMMO will update this story when those resources are accessible.
