
A Sweet Springs woman was arrested after breaking into a Marshall residence on Tuesday, October 10.
According to the Marshall Police Department, Saline County E-911 advised officers of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived on scene, the home owner said the female subject that had broken in was still inside the residence. There was property damage to the house’s back door window, where the intruder broke in.
Police located the intruder, identified as Jessica Davis, inside the bathroom taking a shower. Davis claimed the she was given the residence by a relative who passed away, however, she couldn’t provide any evidence to that claim.
Davis reportedly taken a golf club from a detached garage at the residence, broke the back door window, and unlocked the door to get inside. Davis allegedly has prior charges for assault and burglary.
Davis has been charged with a felony for burglary in the first degree and a misdemeanor for property damage. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.
