According to MODOT and the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety they are asking people to take the “BUCKLE UP PHONE DOWN CHALLENGE,” during the 7th annual BUPD Challenge.

In Missouri, over the 500 fatalities that  had occurred,  at least 61% were reported to be unbuckled.

Distracted driving is the leading cause of crashes in Missouri and the United States.
The challenge is simply agreeing to buckling up every trip and putting the phone down when you get behind the wheel. The BUPD website also has many tips on how to share, be a business who supports the challenge along with many other resources regarding BUPD Day.
