The Concordia Board of Aldermen held discussions over an upcoming sidewalk project and potential improvements to the Interstate 70 intersection during its meeting on Monday, December 4.

The board is considering possible improvements that can be made on the I-70 intersection. City Administrator Dale Klussman says the board sees an opportunity to improve the area and make it safer.

The board gave Klussman permission to contact Crockett Engineering Consultants to figure out what the project would look like.

Also, the board approved a motion to hold a public hearing to discuss the upcoming CDBG sidewalk project in Concordia. the hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
