Ashley Dawn West (Boyd), 48, peacefully passed away, surrounded by family on December 14, 2023, after a 3 year battle with cancer.
She was born on September 29, 1975 to Don and Jennifer Boyd and grew up in Slater, Missouri. She graduated from Slater High School in 1994 and then attended MSU College in Springfield Missouri. During her junior year spring break, on a trip to California, she met her soon to be husband Bryan West and shortly thereafter, moved out west to finish college and get married. She completed her bachelor’s degree in 1998 and they were married on June 12th, 1999. They lived in San Ramon, CA for their first 6 years together before moving to Danville, CA in 2005. They were blessed with 2 beautiful children, Alex (19) and Audrey (15), and shared almost 25 years of marriage together.
Ashley was a beautiful, bright and loving person who always enjoyed spending time with friends and family. As a child, she enjoyed playing basketball, was a very talented pianist and was always looking for an adventure. She was a very loving wife and mother, was always there to help or comfort someone in need, never knew a stranger and had a smile that would light up every room she entered. She was and will always be a shining star to those who knew and loved her, and we miss her dearly.
Ashley is survived by her beloved husband Bryan, their son Alex, daughter Audrey, father Don Boyd, sister Amber (Tim) Elli and her in-laws, Lou and Jan West. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.
All that knew and loved Ashley are welcome to attend her Celebration of Life, with an informal gathering immediately after, at Community Presbyterian Church (CPC), located at 222 W El Pintado, Danville, CA 94526 at 2pm on Friday, January 5th, 2024.
