A one-vehicle crash was reported in Johnson County on Sunday, January 7.

The crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Richard Sechrest traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned before striking a fence. The vehicle came to a rest on its top.

Sechrest was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

The crash occurred at 7:20 p.m. on Southwest 700 Road in Johnson County.
