The Johnson County Fire Protection District would like to remind everyone of the marking system on vehicles that are parked on the side of the roadway.

Johnson County Fire District states to  please be aware of the marking system for vehicles along roadways that appear to have wrecked. If you see a vehicle marked with yellow caution tape the vehicle has already been checked by emergency personnel (there are already several out there).

This means you don’t need to report the vehicle to 911 dispatch.

However, if something else would indicate the need for a response please report it.
