Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey warned about potential winter weather scams targeting consumers. 

Scammers exploit weather conditions like snow, ice, or wind, posing as utility workers, contractors, or government officials.

Bailey advises against paying unannounced utility workers before completing work, urges thorough verification of contractors’ licenses and insurance, and warns against providing personal information to those claiming to assist with government programs.
