The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded a total of $100,000 in Clean Water Engineering Report Grant funding to the cities of Carrollton and Houston.

Each community will utilize its $50,000 grant to evaluate its wastewater treatment system.

The grant provides funding to qualified communities to cover engineering costs for assessing water and wastewater system enhancements.

Carrollton and Houston will use the grants to identify wastewater system improvements necessary to ensure reliable service to the area, meet permit requirements, and decrease storm water infiltration into sewer collection pipes.

Carrollton’s facility plan is expected to be complete in July 2025.
