
Work is set to begin next week to bring multiple pedestrian facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Construction crews will make improvements to sidewalks, curb ramps, and pavement approaches in Cooper and Howard County on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. The project spans 10 cities across five counties.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $1,176,984.87 contract for this work, which is set to be completed by November 1, 2024.
In Cooper County, work will be done on Route B in Lone Elm, from the cemetery to the church entrance.
In Howard County, work will be done on Missouri Route 3 in Armstrong, Route V in Armstrong, Missouri Route 129 in Roanoke, west of Route 3, in front of the cemetery, and Missouri Route 5 in Fayette.
Work will also be done in Boone, Moniteau, and Morgan County.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
