Dottie June “Granny” Harden, 86, of Marshall, MO, died Saturday, February 17, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carrollton.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Baby Grace, make checks payable to First United Methodist Church and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born June 7, 1937, in Urbana, MO, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Rash and Sarah Mae Miller Rash.  Granny lived in Marshall for many years where she was a homemaker for her family.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall where she was active in the Baby Grace Foundation taking care of children in the nursery and preschool program.  Granny adored children and provided child care in her home for many, many children through the years.  It was through her child care that inspired her to start learning Spanish and held classes in her home.

Survivors include two sons, Lynn Harden and Leroy Harden, both of Kansas City; two daughters, Tanya L. Harden (Sandra Bigsby) of Sedalia and Twila Tanner of Holly Hill, FL; three grandchildren: James Harden (Kaylie), Jennifer Bowen (Greg) and Eric Harden; seven great-grandchildren: Tanner Harden, Xane Anderson, Chylin Anderson, Ashtyn Harden, Preston Sullivan, Caydence Harden and Sebastian Harden; one brother, Jack Rash of Malta Bend; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Daryl Harden; one son, Terry Harden; two sisters, Jessica Hainds and Janet Grantham; and three brothers: Marion “Tiny” Rash, Jimmy Dale Rash and Daryl Rash.
