A Sedalia resident has been sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree drug trafficking.
Chastity Crawford, along with her co-defendant Derrick Clay, was arrested last November during a drug raid at Clay’s residence.
An informant had reported that Clay was involved in methamphetamine distribution from his home and other locations in town.
During Clay’s arrest, officers discovered a motel key in his possession, leading them to find Crawford at the motel, where 51 grams of methamphetamine were also seized. Clay faces charges of second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance, with his case pending a court date.
