The American Inn, located at 1217 South Limit, in Sedalia, has officially reopened its doors for business.

Following its shutdown by the Sedalia Police on January 9th, the necessary back taxes have been settled, and the business license has been reinstated.

Previously labeled a nuisance hotel by the City of Sedalia due to alleged criminal activities, the establishment underwent scrutiny by the Sedalia Police, resulting in a criminal search warrant being served after a thorough investigation by the SPD’s Crime Resolution Unit revealed non-compliance with a cease operations order issued on December 21st.
