A Sedalia resident was apprehended and accused of drug-related offenses following the search of a residence on Monday.

According to a probable cause statement, authorities entered the premises and purportedly discovered Kendal Brake attempting to dispose of methamphetamine by flushing it down the toilet.

The substance was retrieved from the location and measured, amounting to 920 grams, and placed in a container. Additionally, two bags of methamphetamine, a digital scale, a spoon, and $540 in cash were seized during the search.

Brake is being charged with charges of  drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with physical evidence.

Brake appeared in court for arraignment on Wednesday, March 13, and his case has been scheduled to resume on March 26 at 1:30 PM.
