The Sedalia City Council approved a Financial Assistance Agreement for storm water improvements during its meeting on Monday, April 1.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw said the city secured a grant that totals $662,396.40 in federal funding, with an equal match from the city.

The total amount spent on the storm water improvements is $1,324,792.80 with the federal funding and the city match.

The council also approved an agreement with HDR Engineering Inc. for wastewater treatment plant improvements. The cost of the agreement is $77,902.
