Police have arrested Jonathan Parkhurst following the shots fired incident that occurred on Sadie Lane, in Sedalia on Sunday. Parkhurst now faces charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. A warrant was issued on Monday, setting a bond of $250,000. He was placed on a 24-hour hold following his arrest on Sunday, with a court date pending.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at the Sadie Lane residence around 5:18 p.m. Sunday, where Parkhurst was allegedly intoxicated. Upon arrival, deputies engaged with a woman at the residence, who indicated they would bring him to the door. Allegedly, Parkhrust fired multiple shots towards deputies, prompting them to take cover. The standoff continued with additional shots fired, reportedly directed at law enforcement. Parkhurst allegedly made unintelligible statements during the altercation and, at one point, pointed the gun at the woman.

Law enforcement eventually persuaded Parkhurst to surrender after taking cover in a nearby wooded area. Following searches at the residence by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, shell casings and multiple firearms were found.
