
Joyce Ann Brown, 80, of rural Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born August 7, 1943, in Denver, CO, she was the daughter of the late William Milton Smith and Helen Marie Barron Smith Cole. On April 10, 1986, in Las Vegas, NV, she married Donald W. Brown who survives of the home. Joyce was raised in the Grand Pass and Waverly area and had lived in rural Marshall since 1986 where she retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center in 2004. She enjoyed going to the casino and loved sports, especially the Chiefs and Royals.
Survivors include her husband Donald; four daughters, Deborah Ging of Marshall, Donna Algiere (Jeff) of Warrensburg, Theresa Ann Brown of Lake Ozark and Debra Herrick (Robert) of Harrisonville; six grandchildren, Renee Holden (Abby), Michael Ging (Autumn), Alexandria Wilkinson (David), Kelsie Wood (Jordan), Clint Herrick and Chloe Herrick; eight great-grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Bennett Ging; and one brother, William Lee Smith.
