The Saline County BBQ will be held on the Marshall Square on Saturday, June 1.
Susan Pointer, a chairperson for the BBQ Committee, explained that the event has been moved back to the Marshall Square this year. Pointer also says there will live music for people to enjoy.
Pointer says this year’s meal will feature classic BBQ menu items, like brisket and coleslaw.
The price of the meal is $12 for adults, and $6 for children ages 10 and under. A drive-thru will be available on the northwest side of the square.
Entertainment will play from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The Queen Contest will be held at 7:30. Pointer says there are 60 contestants from the ages of 3 to 22.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Saline County Fairgrounds. All of the funds raised from this event go towards the premiums for the youth that show at the Saline County Fair in July.
