The Carrollton City Council has allocated funds to purchase a shade structure ahead of next month’s Carroll County Fair.

Administrative Assistant Amber Cooper says the decision made at Monday night’s council meeting came after a member of the fair board presented an update.

The Carroll County Fair will run July 9th through the 13th. Also at Monday’s meeting, the council authorized the purchase of 1500 gallons of aviation fuel for the memorial airport. Cooper says the council anticipates the purchase price being about the same as a year ago.
