A pair of two-run shots by Tennessee upended Texas A&M’s championship dreams, forcing Game Three in the Men’s College World Series with a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon in a game heard on KMMO AM 1300.

The Aggies struck first with one out in the first, with a solo home run to right field. Tennessee threatened on several occasions, eventually leaving nine on base. But the Volunteers would get their first lead of the best-of-three series, with a two-run home run in the seventh. They would add another two in the eighth, then hold on to force the deciding third game. A&M would strand eight in the game and have two runners caught stealing.

Game Three will be Monday evening, with first pitch at Charles Schwab Field Omaha set for 6 p.m.
