Marshall Schools will have a new van to ferry students between buildings this coming school year.
At a work session Monday morning, the board of education voted 5-0 to purchase the van. Superintendent Caleb Petet says the van will arrive at the high school campus next week.
The van will cost $31,212 and be purchased through GovDeals. Petet adds that as the new van comes in, surplus inventory will make its way out as a result of listings approved earlier this month.
Marshall School Board members spent most of Monday discussing a proposed long-range facility plan. Petet says he expects the plan to be adopted in August, while an updated five-year comprehensive school improvement plan could receive board approval before the end of the year.
