24-0626-proposed-ssd-central-office-site

Sedalia’s School Board opted to not accept any of the four bids submitted for the proposed site of the district’s new central office.

Superintendent Doctor Todd Fraley says the district didn’t know what to expect when they began soliciting bids to renovate the building at 17th and South Lafayette.

Fraley says the district will proceed with demolishing the interior to better determine how to convert the former medical building. He adds that the district’s current offices on Matthew Drive are at their limit.

The Sedalia School Board made the decision at Tuesday’s board meeting. Also at that meeting, the district approved a change order reducing the cost of the athletics complex project by $16,711.76.
