New Franklin R-I Superintendent Benjamin Dorson spoke about some upcoming projects the district has planned for the next fiscal year.

A bond issue to fund the projects was passed in April. Dorson said the district is partnering with FSG to work on these projects.

The funding for these projects likely won’t come in until August. In other news, Dorson said that the district hired a new high school and elementary principal.

Dorson also mentioned that the Board of Education approved the final amendments to the 2023-2024 budget, before approving the preliminary budget for the next fiscal year.
