Roger was born on September 20, 1960, in Warrensburg, Missouri, to Norman Luedeman and Fern Frerking Luedeman. He lived a majority of his life in Concordia before moving to Emma. On December 2, 1977, Roger married Dana Harms at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and commitment, and they shared many wonderful years together until Dana’s passing on May 6, 2024.
Roger’s life was filled with hard work and dedication. He drove a truck for Ashgrove for the majority of his career and later worked at Lake City Ammunition. His true passion was driving his own truck and raising cattle, which he did with great pride. A lifelong fan of country music, Roger had a special fondness for George Jones, whose songs often filled his home and brought him joy. Roger was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was known for his respectful nature, hard work, sense of humor, and zest for life. His feisty and stubborn demeanor made him a beloved figure in his community. Roger Neal Luedeman’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and perseverance. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. While he may no longer be with us, his memory will live on as a beacon of joy and resilience.
Roger is survived by his children: Nathan Luedeman and his wife Brittany, Tia Weber and her partner Nathan McCurdy, and Tricia Harrington with her partner Dane; his cherished grandchildren: Shani Yoesel, Kaitlin Horstman, Hunter Luedeman, Trey Harrington, Seth Harrington, and Mya Luedeman; three sisters: Linda Bredehoeft (husband Elbert – deceased), Barb Flandermeyer (husband Gary), and Carolyn Stewart (husband Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews.
