The City of Higginsville has a new face on their police force.
At Monday night’s meeting, the Board of Aldermen approved the commission for police officer Austin Summitt. City administrator Jeanette Dobson tells KMMO News that Summitt will work for the department in a part-time role, in addition to his full-time commission with Odessa’s police department.
The board also approved a new EMS billing services contract with EMS Management and Consultants. Dobson says the previous deal with Change Healthcare was terminated in the aftermath of the cyberattack the firm experienced earlier this year. The new agreement takes effect August 1st.
